In Giresun, hazelnut prices closed the week at 315 lira in the free market. The decline in the hazelnut harvest across Turkey continues to be reflected in the prices in the free market. Due to adverse conditions affecting production, such as agricultural frost, drought, and the brown marmorated stink bug, there has been a significant drop in the hazelnut harvest this year. With the decrease in supply, hazelnut prices in the free market quickly rose to between 350-360 lira. However, in recent days, prices have retreated somewhat, settling in the range of 300-325 lira. In Giresun, hazelnut traders are offering prices ranging from 305 to 315 lira for Giresun quality hazelnuts and 295 to 300 lira for Levant quality hazelnuts as of October 10. On the other hand, FİSKOBİRLİK Giresun Cooperative has set a price of 327 lira per kilogram for 50 yield hazelnuts. Additionally, it has been announced that producers will be paid a price difference of 6 lira 54 kuruş per yield.
