In Gömeç district of Balıkesir, within the scope of the "Fig Production Increase Project," 499 certified fig saplings were distributed to producers. Under the "Agricultural Land Activation Project" carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, work was initiated in Gömeç to spread fig production and increase the income level of farmers. Coordinated by the Gömeç District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the project aims to increase agricultural diversity in the region and to turn figs into a value-added product.
