With crop rotation, friendly soil management, without using chemical elements, fertilizers, or pesticides, and building their own compost among other practices, Carlos Iacono was starting a path towards the life he desired.
From Sicilian grandparents who cultivated the land with olive trees and vines and a paternal uncle who brought him closer to the love for the garden, he inherited "the enthusiasm and affection for production."
"One of my dad's brothers had a garden and such a great love for what he did. I liked to visit him and see that enthusiasm and affection for the land, for his plants. He would give us little vegetables as gifts," recalls Carlos.
With his family enterprise "Flor Dorada," he set to work to achieve organic, certified production of fruits and vegetables in an agro-tourism farm under Good Agricultural Practices. The property is located in the town of Centenario, about 17 km from the city of Neuquén.
"We have been doing loving, conscious, and committed work..."
