Research by the Primorsky branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "NTsBRP" on over 92.3 tons of seafood products, including fish and shellfish, revealed that three batches containing crab limbs, canned fish, and frozen navaga failed to meet the required safety standards. The products were found to contain harmful coliform bacteria and high levels of heavy metals, and one batch of frozen navaga was especially contaminated with dangerous human helminths, such as nematodes and cestodes. The presence of these helminths, which can cause helminthiasis, exceeded the permissible limits, marking the products as unsafe for consumption and non-compliant with various technical regulations and conditions. The findings were documented and shared with the relevant authorities.
