In the first 9 months of 2024, Vietnam exported 3.8 billion USD worth of vegetables and fruits to China. In contrast, Vietnam spent 696.5 million USD importing vegetables and fruits, mainly Chinese fruits. Market records show that in traditional markets, Chinese vegetables, spices, fruits... such as tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, grapes, pears... are rarely clearly stated by sellers. Meanwhile, in supermarkets, Chinese fruits such as pomegranates, grapes, pears; spices such as single garlic, lotus garlic; carrots, onions... have their origins clearly stated. Prices of Chinese fruits such as pears are 32,900 VND/kg, pomegranates are 59,000 VND/kg, cherry apples are 59,000 VND/500gr, peonies, black grapes are 119,000 VND/kg, red grapes with seeds are 69,000 VND/kg...
