Beef production in Kazakhstan is growing steadily, providing the domestic market and strengthening export positions. In 2024, beef production reached 430 thousand tons, an increase of 7.5% compared to 2023. In 2025, the positive dynamics are maintained: 24.7 thousand tons of meat were produced in January, which is 5.2% more than in the same period last year. Kazakhstani beef and live cattle are exported to 8 countries, which confirms their high quality and competitiveness. For the development of the industry, the country has 249 feedlots for 380.1 thousand heads. Currently, 174.2 thousand heads of cattle are being fattened (45.8% of the total capacity).
