In Kazakhstan, the preparation of winter fodder for the 2025-2026 season is coming to an end. According to local executive authorities, as of mid-October, the country has harvested 25 million tons of hay (101.9% of the plan), 1.9 million tons of silage (112.8%), 3.4 million tons of concentrated feed (62.2%), 2 million tons of silage (99.1%), and 4.4 million tons of straw (95.8%).
The highest hay harvesting rates are observed in the North Kazakhstan (147%), East Kazakhstan (116%), Almaty (105.6%), Jetisu (104.5%), Aktobe (103.2%), Kyzylorda (103.2%), and Ulytau (102.3%) regions. The leaders in silage production are North Kazakhstan (163%), Jambyl (114.6%), Kostanay (107.7%), Almaty (107.5%), and Pavlodar (105%) regions.
The current volumes ensure proper animal feeding during the winter period, achieving planned production targets, and maintaining livestock numbers. Overall, the situation with fodder supply in the republic is assessed as stable.
