In Moldova, the area under borscht vegetables will not decrease at best

As representatives of companies supplying vegetable and potato seeds note, in the first two months, the demand of vegetable farmers for planting material for most borscht set products was very weak. In connection with this, it has been suggested that, in particular, the area sown with onions for the 2024 harvest will be noticeably less than last year, EastFruit reports. In 2023, as specialists from fruit-growing organizations noted, “even those farmers who had never worked with them, or even vegetables in general, planted onions before.” As a result, according to expert estimates, about 2.5-3 thousand hectares were occupied with onions in the country.
