The early cabbage harvest has commenced in Niğde, Turkey, the second-largest producer of white cabbage in the country. This year, 132,155 tons of cabbage are expected from 18,740 decares of land across 25 villages, with yields similar to last year despite a slight decrease in planting area. The Bor and Ulukışla districts are major contributors, accounting for 19% of Turkey's white cabbage production. The cabbage is sold locally and exported to countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Azerbaijan, providing a significant income source for nearly 900 farmers, with prices ranging from 10 to 15 TL per piece.
