In Poland, farmers have faced a crisis situation because, due to sales problems, they are forced to ask people to come to the fields and orchards to take the harvest for free or on a "what you give" basis. Otherwise, tons of fruits and vegetables, including plums, peppers, and tomatoes, will simply perish. This is reported by the publication onet.pl. The problem gained widespread attention after one of the farmers in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship harvested 11 tons of plums, but the buyer suddenly backed out. To save the harvest, he offered everyone willing to take the plums for free.
