A power outage in the Poltava region of Ukraine has caused problems for farmers, with 20,000 hectares of corn remaining in the fields unreaped due to being unable to dry. This is a significant issue in a region that had the largest corn crops in the country in 2022. As a result, spring tillage will need to be increased. The region plans to sow 1.4 million hectares of land in the spring, including crops of corn, sunflower, soy, early grains, and legumes.
