In September, the Chuncheon Gangdong Agricultural Cooperative's Yoon Jin-su and Jimi-ja couple were awarded the New Farmer of the Month.

The Gangwon Branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (headed by Kim Kyung-rok) announced that the winners of the September New Farmer Award are the couple Yoon Jin-soo (56) and Jimi-ja (58) from Chuncheon Gangdong Agricultural Cooperative. The Yoon couple, who have been farmers for 23 years, are engaged in farming activities such as growing cucumbers in Dong-myeon, Chuncheon City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. Yoon Jin-soo, a new farmer, has been working to produce superior agricultural products by comparing and selecting new varieties that adapt well to domestic climate change compared to existing varieties, and based on this, he won the Chuncheon Gangdong Agricultural Cooperative President's Award (Cucumber Sales Champion) in 2019. Furthermore, he has been active as the chairman of the Crop Division Commodity Association and the chairman of the Janghak 2-ri Farming Association, playing a bridging role between the members and the Agricultural Cooperative.
