Between June 2022 and June 2023, the European Union successfully exported 31.3 million tons of wheat, marking an 11% increase from the previous season. This includes 30.0 million tons of soft wheat, 0.713 million tons of durum wheat, and 0.443 million tons of soft wheat flour. France emerged as the leading exporter, contributing 10.2 million tons, followed by Romania and Germany. The main importers of EU wheat were Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia, with Tunisia, the UAE, Tanzania, Israel, and Algeria being the primary recipients of durum wheat.
