In the first half of 2022, Malatya, Turkey, exported 32,662 tons of dried apricots, generating $167.7 million in revenue and reaching 115 countries. Despite a decrease in quantity, the price per ton for these exports increased by 19% compared to the same period last year, contributing to a positive export season for dried apricot producers. Malatya is responsible for 85% of the world's dried apricot exports, providing a vital source of income for 50,000 households.
