In the fisheries dispute, Russia may ban Norwegian trawling vessels from entering its waters.

The Russian side stated that Norway has violated the obligations stipulated in the agreement. We will negotiate with them. If we cannot find a solution acceptable to both parties, we may take retaliatory measures to prevent them from entering our economic zone.

The Russia-Norway Fisheries Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting for negotiations from December 8 to December 12.

If the negotiations fail to resolve the dispute, restrictions on Norwegian vessels entering Russian waters may be implemented starting from January 1, 2026.
