The Lviv region in Ukraine is going to financially assist farmers who cultivate less common crops in 2022, offering up to 50% reimbursement of seed costs. The annual subsidy for each business will be capped at UAH 50.0 thousand. The list of crops includes buckwheat, rye, triticale, millet, flax, beans, peas, vetch, mustard, radish oil, asparagus, sweet potatoes, and various indoor vegetables. This initiative is part of a larger agricultural support program for the 2021-2025 period, aiming to boost crop yields, diversify markets, and enhance business profitability by encouraging farmers to use certified, high-yielding seeds.
