Spring sowing in the Nizhny Novgorod region has been completed on an area of 621.9 thousand hectares, which is 3.6% more than last year. The majority of the area is occupied by grain and leguminous crops, including increased amounts of wheat and barley. The region has also seen a significant increase in the area under soybeans, and farmers have used irrigation systems for approximately 10.7 thousand hectares of agricultural land.
