In the Nizhny Novgorod region, poultry production for slaughter increased by 7.8%

The production of livestock and poultry for slaughter, as well as milk and chicken eggs, has also increased overall. According to Rosstat, in the first three quarters of 2025, farms of all categories in the Nizhny Novgorod region produced 65.6 thousand tons of poultry for slaughter (live weight). This is 7.8% more than in the same period of 2024. Almost the entire volume of production is concentrated in agricultural organizations—65.1 thousand tons (+7.9% compared to the previous year). Pigs for slaughter (live weight) amounted to 69.3 thousand tons, and cattle (cattle) to 22.2 thousand tons.
