In 2024, the Nizhny Novgorod Region in Russia saw an increase in agricultural production, with milk production rising by 4.4% to 718.3 thousand tons and livestock and poultry for slaughter increasing by 8.5% to 220.4 thousand tons. Agricultural organizations were responsible for the majority of this production, with the largest share being pigs at 95.7%, followed by poultry at 40.5%, and cattle at 15.2%. The region also produced 1.26 billion chicken eggs. The number of cattle, pigs, and poultry in the region also increased, with the majority kept in agricultural organizations.
