Milk production was about 720 thousand tons, livestock and poultry for slaughter - over 220 thousand tons According to Rosstat, in 2024, milk production in farms of all categories in the Nizhny Novgorod Region amounted to 718.3 thousand tons - 4.4% more than in 2023. An increase in milk yield in agricultural organizations was noted by 5.3%, up to 588.0 thousand tons - this is 81.9% of the regional volume. In peasant farms, 71.1 thousand tons of milk were obtained (9.9% of the total volume), an increase of 3.0% was observed compared to last year; in households - 59.2 thousand tons (8.2% of the gross milk yield).
