In 2023, the Omsk region saw a growth in its farming sector with a 1.9% increase in cattle received for slaughter, totaling 53.2 thousand tons. The region also saw a rise in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter, amounting to 187.4 thousand tons, and pork production, which increased by 5.9% to 74.35 thousand tons. Raw milk production slightly increased to 608.8 thousand tons, and the region produced 802.1 million eggs. The cattle population at the end of the year was 322.4 thousand, including 137.0 thousand cows, 352.9 thousand pigs, 199.7 thousand sheep and goats, and 5,669.3 thousand birds.
