In the special economic zone "Turan," a modern full-cycle cotton agro-industrial complex for the production of textile products has been commissioned. The start of operations of the production facility of "Türkıstan Toqıma" LLP (Kazakhstan Lihua) has become an important step in the development of the domestic textile industry. The project is focused on the processing of cotton and the production of yarn and fabrics with high added value and is being implemented within the strategic priorities for the development of the processing industry, outlined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The total investment in the project amounts to 86.2 billion tenge. Construction began in 2024, and the first production phase has been launched this year.
