Throughout Trabzon, in efforts to ensure food safety, the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry imposed fines totaling 21 million 412 thousand TL on 290 businesses during inspection activities conducted throughout the year 2025. The province has 8,859 food businesses and 254 feed production and sales businesses operating in production, sales, and mass consumption areas. During 2025, 86 food inspectors carried out 12,246 official checks and inspections in these businesses, and 1,262 samples were taken.
