Detectives from the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security (BES) in the Zakarpattia region have established that the head of a research institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences and the manager of a grain storage facility embezzled 300 tons of grain. This is reported by the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. According to the investigation, the officials of the NAAS institute acted in premeditated collusion and used their official positions for personal gain. To conceal the shortage of grain, they entered false data into official documents, claiming that the grain was still stored in the warehouse. As a result of these actions, the state suffered losses of almost 1.9 million UAH.
