As of October 23, Ukraine has already harvested 37,559.5 thousand tons of grain crops from an area of 8,400.3 thousand hectares. 73% of the area sown with these crops has been threshed. Specifically, the following has been harvested: Wheat – 22,796.0 thousand tons from an area of 5,049.8 thousand hectares. Barley – 5,366.6 thousand tons from an area of 1,350.5 thousand hectares. Peas – 662.3 thousand tons from an area of 271.5 thousand hectares. Corn – 7,713.1 thousand tons from an area of 1,314.9 thousand hectares, which constitutes 31% of the sown areas. Other grains and legumes have been harvested to the amount of 876.7 thousand tons from an area of 317.6 thousand hectares. Among the leaders in the harvest: Odesa region – 3,798.8 thousand tons from an area of 1,144.1 thousand hectares. Poltava region – 2,860.8 thousand tons from an area of 603.3 thousand hectares.
