In Ukraine, last year's potato stocks are running out

Potato prices in Ukraine have begun to decline, despite the fact that last year's harvest stocks are almost exhausted. This is reported by EastFruit analysts. The project experts call the decrease in potato prices a decrease in demand from wholesale companies and retail chains. According to market participants, the decline in trade and purchasing activity is due to the fact that the bulk of the offers are low-quality products, and high-quality potatoes in Ukrainian farms have almost run out. At the moment, producers in most regions of the country are shipping last year's potatoes at 15-24 UAH/kg ($0.36-0.58/kg), which is 12% cheaper on average compared to the end of the previous working week.
