Prices in Ukraine for carrots have been falling for the fifth consecutive week. The vegetable is getting cheaper due to an oversupply amid low demand. Analysts from the EastFruit project noted that the ex-factory prices for carrots from the 2025 harvest are within 9-16 UAH/kg ($0.22-0.38/kg), which is on average 10% cheaper than a week earlier. Experts link the drop in ex-factory prices to the market being oversaturated with produce. There is also a significant decrease in demand for the vegetable, while active harvesting is taking place in all regions of Ukraine. Under these conditions, producers are forced to make concessions and lower prices. It is worth noting that today, carrots in Ukraine are already on sale at an average of 10% cheaper than at the end of July 2024. At ATB, the vegetable can be bought for 14.89 UAH/kg.
