The Rozhysche City Council of the Volyn region has made a decision to develop a detailed territorial plan (DTP) for the construction of a pig complex for 10,000 heads near the village of Sokol. The complex is planned to be located on a land plot of over 15 hectares, which is leased by the LLC "Chebeni plus," reports "ProAgro Group." The decision to develop the DTP is the first official step towards the realization of the project, which could become one of the largest investments in the livestock sector of the region and ensure the creation of new jobs, local media report. According to the State Statistics Service, as of September 1, 2025, the pig population in Ukraine was about 4.82 million heads, showing a slight annual growth.
