The standard aims to enhance the competitiveness and marketing of pears, both nationally and internationally. Producers are required to meet certain criteria such as ripeness and cleanliness. The National Institute of Quality also provides free access to the list of Peruvian Technical Standards through its Virtual Reading Room, which can be accessed after registration.
