In May, Turkey's fresh fruit and vegetable exports saw a 14 percent increase compared to the same period last year, reaching $284 million, as announced by Ferhat Gürüz, President of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association. The Association itself contributed 43 percent to this growth, with regional exports totaling $122 million. Notable export increases were observed in Russia, Iraq, and Germany, with Iraq and Germany experiencing surges of 339 percent and 126 percent, respectively. The leading exported products were peaches, cherries, and tomatoes.
