Turkey: Increase in raisin exports, quantity decreasing

Turkey is the world leader in the production and export of traditional export products such as seedless raisins. The 2023/24 season was completed with an 11 percent increase compared to the previous season, with an export of 490 million dollars. Seedless raisin exports were recorded as 439 million dollars in the 2022/23 season. Despite the 11 percent increase in foreign exchange earnings in seedless raisins, exports in terms of quantity decreased by 20 percent from 259 thousand tons to 207 thousand tons. The decrease in seedless raisin yield was effective in this decrease. The 207 thousand tons of exports in the 2023/24 season was recorded as the lowest seedless raisin exports in terms of quantity in the last 8 years.
