India has exported 10.20 MT of organically certified gluten free jackfruit powder and retort packed jackfruit cubes to Germany, processed at a pack house owned by Phalada Agro Research Foundations (PARF) in Bengaluru. PARF, which facilitates certification to small farmers groups, has been certified by APEDA under its accredited Organic Certification. Meanwhile, a shipment of 1.2 MT of fresh jackfruit was exported to London from Tripura, marking the first APEDA assisted pack house for exports to the EU, approved in May 2021. India produced around 3.49 million tonne of certified organic products in 2020-21, including various food products.
