India is set to launch a six-year programme to increase pulses production, including pigeon peas, black mung beans, and red lentils, by introducing a mechanism where government agencies will purchase these commodities at guaranteed prices. This initiative will be discussed in the 22nd International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN. EUROPE-2025, to be held on February 13 – 14 in Prague, which will focus on the development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region.
