Indian grape exports to Europe have commenced amidst concerns of an approaching European market recession. Despite the slow start, with only 157 containers leaving for Europe on January 25, compared to 7,818 containers last year, the quality of the grape harvest from Maharashtra is reported to be good due to favorable weather conditions. However, the slow export pace has sparked concerns among exporters and growers about potential price drops. The majority of Indian grape exports are to West Asia and Bangladesh, with the European market paying higher prices.
