As of October 2025, production reached 1,133,410 tons, an increase of around 8,000 tons, equivalent to nearly 1% compared to the same period in 2024. Mr. Hemant Bangur, President of the Indian Tea Association, said that this year's production is likely to be higher than last year's. According to him, in 2024, tea gardens finished plucking on December 1, while this year, the harvesting activity extends throughout December. Therefore, the production in 2025 could be higher by around 20,000–25,000 tons compared to the previous year.
