Frime's turnover reached 180 million euros last year, with the capacity to process 15,000 tons of frozen tuna and nearly 4,000 tons of cephalopod products annually, and the company employs around 450 people. This acquisition is expected to strengthen Frime's financial position and business scale, placing it among the ranks of major global seafood brands. This acquisition is the latest move in Captain Fresh's recent rapid expansion. In February of this year, its subsidiary CenSea acquired the brand portfolio of Ocean Garden, merging two major American seafood companies and integrating CenSea's Asian shrimp business with Ocean Garden's shrimp business in Mexico and Ecuador. Utham Gowda, founder and group CEO of Captain Fresh, stated that over the past 24 months, the company has transformed into a truly global enterprise, with over 98% of its business needs coming from markets outside India. The current funds will help the company achieve over 1 billion dollars in revenue within the next 12 months, placing it among the top 25 global seafood companies. The company also has a business foundation that can expand its profit margins, potentially doubling its operating profit.
