The INSEE Vietnam Cement Company has just handed over and implemented the planting of 10,000 native Tràm trees at the Phú Mỹ Species-Habitat Conservation Area in Giang Thành Commune, An Giang Province; contributing to greening the buffer zone - one of the important habitats in the native ecosystem. This is one of many specific actions under the Biodiversity Conservation Plan that INSEE Vietnam is implementing, with the goal of achieving a net positive impact on biodiversity by 2030. The focus of this strategy is the planting of 110,000 native tree species in the factory area and two biodiversity compensation areas to restore and enhance the natural ecosystem. The funding and planting of 10,000 Tràm trees this year is the next step in the plan, as INSEE has already planted and handed over more than 37,000 native trees in the same area in 2023-2024, bringing the total number of trees planted to 47,000.
