Interest in berries and fruits from Morocco and Egypt has grown sharply in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan

Following EastFruit's publication that the first historic trade mission of fruit, berry and vegetable suppliers from Egypt and Morocco to Uzbekistan will take place on May 22, we noted a sharp increase in the level of interest among local importers and supermarket chains in fruit and vegetable products from these countries. In particular, we are approached by potential buyers who are interested in logistics, possible price levels and other product parameters. The greatest level of interest is generated by such product categories as fresh berries from Morocco and oranges from Egypt. However, all fruit and vegetable exotics from Egypt and Morocco are of potential interest, namely: avocado, mango, guava and others. With Egypt being one of the largest regional exporters of consumer potatoes and Uzbekistan the world's largest importer, this product category could also open up new trade opportunities.
