Argentina: General Fernández Oro City plans to invest more than US$ 3.5 million in hop production

Within the framework of the start of the hop harvest, between the end of February and the end of March, Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes announced its plan to expand hop production in the town of General Fernández Oro, located in the province of Río Negro. The expansion plan involves an investment of USD 3,500,000 -three million five hundred thousand dollars- and is part of the Investment Plan focused on local production, import substitution and increased exports. "This investment will triple the current production volume, generating new jobs, innovation and local development, making Fernández Oro one of the cities with the highest hop production in the country," said Juan Francisco Mitjans, Director of Corporate Affairs at Cervecería and Malter Quilmes.
