Last year, Brazil, the United States, and the European Union were the top chicken exporters, with Brazil exporting 4.75 million tons, the U.S. 4 million tons, and the EU 7 million tons. China, Germany, and France were the leading chicken importers, with imports valued at approximately US$3.76 billion, US$1 billion, and US$2.05 billion respectively. Iraq was the ninth largest chicken importer, with imports worth US$808 million. In the Arab world, Egypt led in chicken production with 1.85 million tons, followed by Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, and Oman.
