Ireland's Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue, has announced a €20 million Brexit Sustainable Aquaculture Growth Scheme to accelerate the sustainable growth of the Aquaculture Sector. The scheme will provide funding for capital investments, with a higher incentive rate for climate change investments, seaweed aquaculture, and Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) and Integrated Multi-trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) aquaculture projects. An Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) will administer the scheme, and investment projects must be completed by October 2023 to qualify for funding.
