Artyom Gudkov, co-founder of GUDIT, believes that Sub-Saharan Africa is an underestimated market for agricultural trade. While the Netherlands and other EU countries dominate the market, selling products like onions and potatoes, Ukraine and other countries like Moldova, Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Tajikistan are not capitalizing on the opportunities. The reason for this discrepancy is the lack of physical presence in Africa and high quality standards, which EU countries meet through expensive logistics. Gudkov stresses the importance of direct business contacts and a strong logistics network for success in the African market.
