Following the enabling, in mid-January, of the export of dirty wool directly from agricultural establishments, without the need to pass through a collection, washing, or combing industry for the fiber, the National Service of Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa) approved today a regulatory framework for fruit that seems to be in the same vein. “In order to strengthen the marketing in the national and international market of Argentine fruit products, it is convenient to regulate the requirements applicable to natural and legal persons who carry out on-field packing of fruits that, due to their physical, metabolic, and ripening characteristics, present high sensitivity to handling and mechanical damage during harvesting, packing, and transportation,” states resolution 136/2026, which was published today in the Official Bulletin and bears the signature of the head of the ministry, Beatriz “Pilu” Giraudo.
