Israeli farmers have sought compensation for losses incurred due to the northward war, with a total of 972 claims submitted and 91 million shekels already received. The conflict has rendered 2,200 hectares of land, including fruit, avocado, and vineyard plantations, unfit for cultivation, following shelling that damaged 150 hectares of orchards and vineyards. The war's impact has prevented farming activities like harvesting key produce such as apples, peaches, grapefruit, kiwi, and plums from October to December. Additionally, the conflict has hindered the application of fertilizers and pest management, leading to anticipated challenges in this year's harvest.
