[Agricultural, Fisheries, and Livestock Newspaper=Reporter Kim Shin-ji] Amid the recent ongoing heatwave, the production of raw milk has decreased due to heat stress in dairy cows, causing domestic raw cream prices to soar, and the demand for measures to address this issue is growing. In June, there was an abundance of unused raw milk, leading to an increase in the inventory of whole and skimmed milk powder among dairy companies, causing them difficulties. However, as temperatures rose in July, the production of raw milk decreased, and the production of dairy products also declined. Although fluctuations in raw milk production due to seasonal factors have occurred annually, a suitable solution has not been found. In particular, as the production of raw milk has decreased, the price of raw cream, which is widely used in baking and pastry, increased by up to 7% compared to the previous month in July.
