It's unbelievable, but it's true: This is how much potatoes cost in Polish markets

In Poland, a better than last year's potato harvest, but looking at the last ten years as a whole, is expected to be weak, which has resulted in a relatively limited supply on the markets for the time being, accordingly, by the middle of November, the average price has already climbed above the five-year average level. However, since there are also quality problems with the domestic goods, it was expected that these poorly storable items would appear in the offer. This happened the previous week, but so far it could not have a significant price-reducing effect: the high-quality potatoes offered in sufficiently large quantities did not become cheaper - the wholesale price of yellow and red-skinned varieties was PLN 0.73-1.20/kg (70 -115 HUF/kg), and the price of white potatoes was between 0.93-1.67 PLN/kg (90-160 HUF/kg), reports FruitVeB.
