A trade mission from Sichuan, China, to Chile is planning to strengthen commercial ties and increase cherry shipments from Chile to China. The Chilean fruit exporters union is preparing a trip to Chengdu to promote the 2024-2025 cherry campaign. The growth in cherry shipments to China, which has averaged 29% per year, is attributed to the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries and joint promotional activities. Air transport is playing an increasing role in delivering cherries to China, reducing production times and saving costs.
