Izmir hosted two important "Fishing" meetings

Izmir hosted two significant events that will shape the future of the fishing sector. The 39th Meeting of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce Fisheries Working Group and the "Need for Compliance and Cooperation in International Fisheries Management in the Aegean Sea" Panel were held at the Izmir Katip Celebi University. The events, which discussed important issues of the fishing sector, addressed sustainable fisheries management in the Aegean Sea, international cooperation, science-based and compliant policy development. The meetings, attended by academics, sector representatives, and experts from public institutions, made significant contributions to the search for common sense in compliant fisheries management between the two coastal countries in the Aegean.
