The Ministry of Agriculture in Russia will extend the quota for the import of boneless beef with a duty of 0% for 2023, in response to requests from meat processors. The decision is aimed at controlling price increases, which could reach up to 30% without the quota. However, the Ministry has rejected a request to establish a zero duty on up to 100 thousand tons of pork per year, citing an increase in pork production and a decrease in selling prices. The extension of benefits for imported beef is expected to help maintain product costs at a certain level.
