Japan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide sunflower and corn seeds worth over 1 million US dollars to farmers in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine for the spring sowing season. The seeds have already been delivered to Ukrainian warehouses and farmers will be able to apply for them through the State Agrarian Register. The Government of Japan is also discussing the creation of an educational exchange program for students of Kharkiv National Agrarian University with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
