The European Commission has officially recognized the 'Jászság summer truffle' from Hungary with a protected geographical indication, indicating its unique production process and distinct taste, which is primarily found in the Jászság region from late May to August. This truffle is known for its aroma similar to boiled corn and roasted barley malt, with a taste intense and walnut-like, and is highly valued both domestically and internationally. The region is also home to the first truffle museum in Hungary and hosts an annual event by the Hungarian Truffle Association and the Knights of St. László Truffle Order.
